1. In August,2010, Professor Newton da Costa received an Honorary Doctorate from the Federal University of Paraiba, in Brazil

2. On August 2009,Prof. Newton da Costa was honoured with a 80Th. birthday festschrift,  by the University of Campinas-Unicamp.Researchers from all over the world came to praise da Costa,and the Emeritus Professorship was also commended to him by Unicamp.

3. Our institute was recently officially recognized as a non-profit Brazilian organization.

4. Professor Newton da Costa was awarded, by the State of Paraná House of Representatives, the Honorary
Citizenship of the Paraná State.
He also published, along with Decio Krause and Otávio Bueno, the article “Paraconsistent Logics and Paraconsistency”, for the volume of Philosophy of Logic of the HANDBOOK OF THE PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE, edited by Dale Jacquette (volume ed.), Dov M. Gabbay, Paul Thagard and John Woods(General eds.),Elsevier,The Netherlands,2007.

5. Professor Mauro D. Tonasse was awarded a Full time tenured contract in UNESP.

6. Berman's recently published books have been sold out, and a reprint with corrections will soon be available, for “Introduction to General Relativity and the Cosmological Constant Problem”, and for “Introduction to General Relativistic and Scalar-Tensor Cosmologies”, both from Nova Science Publishers, New York.

7. The institute is expecting to receive several post-doctoral researchers, before the end of this year.All the candidates work in nearby located universities.Actual residence in Curitiba shall not be required from them.

8. By special arrangement with “Editora Albert Einstein”, our post doctoral researchers shall be able to publish monographs in English
